Thomas R. Slaubaugh

Mr. Slaubaugh has been a Licensed Administrator for over 30 years.  He has had responsibility for Facilities in 8 States.  He is a member of several Organizations at the Local, State and National level.  As Chief Executive Officer, he has overall responsibility for The Good Samaritan Home including it’s Board and Development activity.














Betsy Puthoff

Betsy has worked at GSH for 8 ½ years and has over 35 years accounting experience.  As Chief Financial Officer she is responsible for all aspects of the business office including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.














William (Bill) Carter, RN, BSN, MSHA

Bill has been at the Good Samaritan Home for 3 years and has over 30 years experience in long term care holding positions such as RN, Nursing Supervisor, Director of Nursing and Administrator.  Bill is licensed as a Health Facility Administrator in Indiana and is nationally certified as a Subacute Care Administrator.  As the Chief Operations Officer, he works closely with the Department Directors and is responsible for the day to day operations of the nursing facility.














Nancy Willer

Nancy has worked at GSH for eight years and has over 30 years of healthcare experience.  In her Human Resources role she is responsible for the recruitment and retention of qualified staff, employee benefits administration,  employee relations, and corporate compliance.














Rev. Mary Hurley
Chaplain

Rev. Mary has been Chaplain at the Good Samaritan Home for over 17 years and has been an ordained United Church of Christ Pastor for over 32 years.  Rev. Mary directs the Worship life of the Home and carries out all duties of the chaplaincy.













Kenneth (Ken) Karmire, MHL, MPA, ARM, CPHRM
Director of Risk Management

Ken has worked in healthcare administration for 38 years in the areas of risk and quality management, safety, education and training. He holds a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from Indiana State University, and a Masters in Health Law (MHL) from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale. Ken joined The Good Samaritan Home in 2007.














Karen Waters, RN, MSN, BC-NA
Director of Nursing

Karen has over 35 years in Acute Care Nursing, including many years in Nursing Leadership positions.  She holds both her BSN and MSN degrees from University of Evansville, and is Board Certified in Nursing Administration by the ANA.  In her role as Director of Nursing, she is responsible for all aspects of nursing care throughout the facility.














Pam Johnson
Director of Rehab/Restorative Services

Pam has over 30 years experience in healthcare, first as an LPN, and then as a physical therapist assistant. She also has a BS in Health Services from USI, with a minor in gerontology. Pam is responsible for supervising physical, occupational, and speech therapies and for the restorative nursing services at GSH.














Jan McReynolds, CDM-CFPP
Director of Nutritional Services

Jan has worked at The Good Samaritan Home for 8 years and has been a Certified Dietary Manager for 30 years. She is responsible for the meal service for all of our residents, guests and employees. She also works with Nursing to assure the nutritional health of our residents.














Bert Papaineau
Director of Environmental Services

Bert has worked at GSH for 4 ½ years and has over 20 years in “environmental” experience. Before coming to GSH he was in the hotel industry. As Director of Environmental Services he is responsible for all aspects of housekeeping, laundry, maintenance.














Ruthann Ritchie, MT-BC, C.A.D.
Director of Activities

Ruthann leads a full-time staff of activity therapists at GSH and provides the music therapy services herself.  She is also a freelance performer of Classical and Celtic Harp and Director of Music Ministries at The Presbyterian Church of Henderson, KY.  Ruthann holds degrees from the University of Evansville, University of Colorado, and Augsburg College in Minnesota.














Jean Wilson, MSW, LCSW
Director of Social Services

Jean has worked at GSH for about two years as the Director of Social Services. The social service staff is responsible for the emotional well-being of the patients/residents.  Jean has over five years long term care experience and over eleven years of social work experience.  She has a master’s degree in social work, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Southern Indiana for ten years.














Laura Tate
Admissions Coordinator

Laura has been at the Good Samaritan Home for over 8 ½ years and has over 25 years experience in long term care.  As the Admissions Coordinator her responsibilities are pre-admission screening of potential residents to the facility, admissions to the facility, tours and marketing.
